Sex Ed The Musical

Feb 20, 2020

Whether it’s the stress of your day, hormones out of whack, or maybe your husband refuses to close the kitchen cabinets — whatever it is, it’s probably increasing your stress which interferes with your sex drive and your ability to experience the most pleasure possible.

That’s where cannabis comes in! And it turns out, menopausal women in the know are flocking to it.

In a recent story on Quartz-

According to sales data and a survey of 4,000 cannabis consumers by the San Francisco-based delivery platform Eaze, the number of female cannabis consumers nearly doubled in 2018, and with their growth outpacing men, women are on track to be half of the cannabis market by 2022. Female baby boomers on the platform grew by nearly a quarter between 2017 and 2018.

Once I sashayed into the magic of menopause, things got interesting. The occasional hot flash wasn’t the least bit bothersome to me because I’m freezing most of the time anyway. Plus those went away after just a few weeks. The biggest problem was bedtime. My ability to sleep through the night became nonexistent thanks to night sweats. They got so bad that I dreaded even going to sleep because I knew how miserable I was going to be throughout the night. All of this sleep deprivation led to an increase in anxiety, brain fog and exhaustion for me.

I didn’t know it yet, but it turns out there was an all-natural, non-pharmaceutical solution.

Many women have discovered the healing power of microdosing of cannabis in order to sleep through the night. But, not just sleep. In the burgeoning adult-use cannabis wellness sector, women of a certain age have also been turning to the plant seeking relief from pain, anxiety, prior sexual trauma and stress. Plus, cannabis is a natural aphrodisiac for many women and it helps us get more connected to our bodies in order to get out of our heads and experience enormous sexual pleasure. Win/win/win!

But how do you know which products to use? Where do you buy them? How do I consume them?

That’s where today’s guest comes in…

Ashley Manta is America’s High Priestess of Pleasure. An award-winning sex educator and coach, Ashley has become a sought-after authority on mindfully combining sex and cannabis as part of her CannaSexual® brand. In this podcast episode, Ashley reveals exactly why cannabis has such a complicated past and who or what was behind the very targeted demonization of this miracle plant. She’ll explain how cannabis can enhance your sex life in many ways and exactly what you should believe from the budtender at the pot dispensary who’s recommending specific strains of weed for better sex (Hint: Nothing).

It’s a very fun conversation and you’ll learn a lot more about cannabis than you ever expected. In a good way.
